1983 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60

Sold

The History of this FJ60 is as follows, the original owner purchased it new from Mike Calvert Toyota in Houston, Texas. He then moved to Florida in 1992 where he then drove it up until 2000. The vehicle was owned by 2 different individuals for around a year or less each. In 2003 the current owner purchased the FJ60 and only put around 10k miles on it over the last 17 years. The FJ60 was always garage kept, mainly being a country club cruiser never leaving the pavement. This FJ60 has had zero accidents and the mileage is actual.

This is the FJ60 you have been on the hunt for, professionally repainted in the (464) Toyota Beige with tan, striped interior. The FJ60 has very little paint blemishes and is in excellent condition throughout. All trim is present and in excellent condition. American Racing Baja wheels fitted to brand new Goodyear Wrangler off-road tires. Recent service includes all new outer tie-rods, fuel pump, and recharge of the air conditioning. All glass and seals are in excellent condition, no cracks or stains. Lights all function with no clouding or cracks in any of the lens.

Inside the FJ60 you will grasp an original yet perfect condition 3 spoke steering wheel. The seats are original and in excellent shape, minor blemishes are tough to spot. All factory gauges function accurately while also fully illuminating. The 4 speed gear shifter slides into gear with ease along with the 4 wheel drive selector, both fitting with untorn boots. The windows operate properly with the hand crank fitted to each door card that have been well taken care of. The only unoriginal aspect of the interior is the expected aftermarket radio and speakers. The dash has held up well through the years with only one minor blemish far passenger side. The carpet and headliner are all in place with only one minor tear in the headliner to be found.

Since this FJ60 has lived its life in Texas and North Florida, the chassis is in excellent condition. The chassis is one of the most solid you can find, no repairs, no rust to be found and no oddities. The FJ60 sits on factory spec suspension with the addition of replacement Bilstein shocks all around. All bushings are in good shape with the recent instillation of outer tie rods. The ride is better than you would expect from an 80s Toyota with no major pulls, squeaks, or clunks. All bumper mounts are straight as they should be confirming the vehicles history of zero accidents.

The 4.2 liter inline 6 (2F) engine is in great shape, especially with this FJ60 being maintained at Toyota dealerships its entire life. All accessories work well including the newer alternator and professionally retrofitted R-134a air conditioning. Factory air conditioning was a selected option originally on this FJ60. This truck has never had any issues with overheating, always staying right at operating temp even with the AC blasting. The transmission shifts great with no grinds or pop outs. The 4WD works wonderfully, not that this truck has had many off-road adventures in its life. The Differentials are in great shape with no whine nor fluid drips. The clutch engages well with a more center to low engaging point indicating the clutch has plenty of life left. Overall this is a go anywhere truck that I would not be worried about driving long distances.
